Wow!  Here we are in 2023!  How did that happen?  Does anyone else feel like last year flew by with alarming speed?  I felt like I started the year behind and was trying to catch up for the rest of it!  Am I the only one?  2022 was a very full year in our house.  In late February,  we added not one but two Mini Bernedoodle puppies to our house.  Let me tell you, potty training two at once in the winter is no joke!  Everything else fell by the wayside for the first few months as we worked on training with them.  Two days after we brought the puppies home, we suddenly suffered the loss of my step father. With all of  that, creating art was put aside for a bit and I really had to scramble to get pieces ready for my first solo exhibit as well as another art show in November.  I did have a break in mid November when I decided I wanted to try my hand at doing a pastel pet portrait of one of my dogs just for fun.  After posting it on Instagram and Facebook, I had a number of people reach out to have pieces commissioned.  What started as something just for fun has turned into a real thing. I have even added a page on my website dedicated to Pet Portraits.  After that we had Christmas and New Year’s and now, here we are.  I feel like this year is off to a much better start and I'm excitied to see what God has in store!  I’ve spent the week updating my website and planning my year and let me just say, there are some exciting things coming this year so stay tuned!  One of the things I would like to do in a future edition of my newsletter is perhaps do an art project for beginners that you can try at home.  What kind of project or subject matter would you like to see?  Let me know in the comments! Welcome!  I’m so excited that you have taken the time to explore my website and find your way here!
 I never realized how much goes into building a beautiful website until now.  Creating a website is not my area of expertise and I am definitely not very tech savy!  I typically rely heavily on my husband for all that so this has really challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone.  This has been a long time coming and I’m so happy to be able to share it with you.
I want to take a moment and welcome you to my website and to let you know a little more about what you can expect to find in upcoming posts.  My blog is where, once or twice a month, you will be able to catch a glimpse behind the scenes into my process of creating art pieces, what inspires me and you’ll be able to follow along the highs and lows, the wins and losses of my artistic journey. This is also where I will share exciting news about upcoming events and where you will get sneak peeks at new pieces and collections that will be launching.
